Description
Project planning and information technology are essential drivers in today’s fast-paced, globally connected, and increasingly digital workplaces. In Canada, businesses across all sectors—from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and government—require professionals who can apply project management skills in IT contexts, manage resource procurement, and effectively communicate project expectations within a diverse, multicultural environment.
The Project Management – Information Technology program is delivered over two years and includes a co-operative education (co-op) term, giving students the opportunity to gain real Canadian work experience and apply their learning in a practical setting.
As a graduate of this program, you will have the skills to design, develop, and manage IT projects that meet organizational goals and apply quality assurance processes to ensure successful outcomes. You will learn the principles of project management that include Agile and hybrid methodologies; develop hands-on experience using AI-driven tools and cloud platforms; implement risk management and IT security strategies; and apply project lifecycle knowledge from initiation through closure. You will also build confidence in using Canadian business communication styles, reporting standards, and workplace tools that prepare you to thrive in a Canadian team environment.
Georgian College’s status as a PMI® Authorized Training Partner (ATP-2025)—one of the only in the region—ensures your learning aligns with global standards and prepares you for future certification (such as CAPM® or PMP®).
